Suit accuses Glass House, a maker of marijuana, of” structural” labor violations-Cbdganjah

According to a lawsuit brought by an ex-worker in Los Angeles County Superior Court, big cannabis manufacturer Glass House Brands “imposed widespread quota and production demands” on workers who broke the law, including unpaid overtime and exaggerated workloads.

The plaintiffs in the lawsuit, according to Law360, include Houweling’s Camarillo and Labor Force Management, Mission Health Associates, and GH Camarillo, as well as Glass House Brands and affiliates.


Kyle Kazan, CEO of Glass House, is mentioned in the lawsuit but is not named as a respondent.

Glass House turned down a request for comment from MJBizDaily.

According to the lawsuit, which was filed on February 20, Gerard Melendez and his coworkers “regularly worked in extra” of eight hours a day and forty days per week in Los Angeles.
